Ray has practiced law in Hawaii since 1987, working with condominium, homeowner and community associations as general counsel and on litigation matters. Ray’s association practice includes advising on governing documents, compliance with state and federal law, policy-making, opinion letters, prosecuting claims to enforce governing documents and collections. He also assists associations with real property issues.
Ray has litigated large-scale construction defect cases, while representing owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. His litigation practice has included defect claims relating to concrete spalling, windows, and code violations. He further advises association clients regarding handling construction defects.
Ray is an arbitrator with the Hawaii Court-Annexed Arbitration Program and regularly works as a commissioner on foreclosure matters.
