Filipovic Joins 2014 World Cup Winners for SAP Winner’s Circle Event in Kona
From February 22-26, McKeon Sheldon Mehling attorney and former professional soccer player, Rebecca Filipovic, rejoined the Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB) to host the second annual SAP Winner’s Circle German National Soccer Clinic in Kona, Hawaii. SAP, a German-based global software conglomerate, is the official premium partner of the German National Team.
This year, the event featured a trio of coaches, Oliver Bierhoff, Andreas Kopke, and Marcus Sorg, who, in no small way, helped to orchestrate the German National Team’s success at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Bierhoff, who played for Germany during the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, is the current general manager of the DFB. Kopke is the National Team’s current goalkeeper coach, having earned the FIFA Goalkeeper of the Year award in 1996 after Germany won the European Championships. And Sorg, is the head coach for the German U19 National Team that won the UEFA European Championships last year.
Filipovic is the President of Valley Isle Soccer Academy, a youth soccer academy on Maui. For more information about, go to: www.valleyislesoccer.com
